We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic full-time Optical Assistant to join our small, friendly team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people and is confident in both technical and customer-facing tasks. Experience in
optics is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a small independent team, you will be involved in all aspects of practice life. These are among some of the jobs that will be expected to be carried out:

• Welcoming patients and providing exceptional front-of-house service
• Dispensing glasses accurately and confidently
• Adjusting and fitting frames to ensure comfort and proper alignment
• Performing and managing all frame repairs, including minor and more advanced fixes
• Managing collections and providing aftercare support for patients
• Handling and advising on contact lenses, including orders, deliveries, and queries
• Conducting pre-screening tests (full training provided if necessary)
• Managing patient records and appointment diary using our practice management system (PMS)
• Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional and efficient manner
• Ensuring the practice is clean, well-presented, and welcoming
